Check out your local community college or adult school and see if they have any cooking classes available. If not, simple cook books with illustrations are great! Or, go to www.foodtv.com and see Rachel Ray's recipes. Most of hers are pretty easy to make.

I learned cooking from my mom. She used to make me help her out in the kitchen. She'd have me chop, mix, stir, etc. I used to moan and groan about it. It wasn't until I left home for college that I truly appreciate it.
