It's obvious that you have taken very good care of your little dog. And, I understand exactly how you feel. And though a lot of people think everyone should spend whatever it takes to care for a little dog - there are times when the expenses just become more than a person can manage. And - not only can you not afford these bills, you are now going into debt to pay them.

I'm afraid that you are just going to have to explain your situation to your vet and ask that he do only what is absolutely necessary...and nothing more. Vets can make different choices that often help keep expenses down.

Perhaps, since he is getting better, with the vet's help, you can get him through this illness. It doesn't sound like he has any chronic problems. None of the problems you mentioned were related - they were all totally different. It would be nice if he could get well this time and then stay well. This is possible!

Please talk to your vet about your financial situation. And, hopefully, you can get your little guy healthy one more time --- and then hopefully he'll stay well for many years to come.

But, after all is said and done, I just wanted to let you know that I understand your situation. It's not always easy paying a lot of medical bills.

Let's see what others have to say. Maybe someone can come up with a miracle -- don't we wish?
