With Reggie, when he would bite me too hard, I would holler "ouch" very loudly which startled him and made him stop and then I would give him a toy or just ignore him. If you decide to make him submissive, be careful you don't end up in a wrestling match with him. There are ways to teach them to be submissive. I found it on a website. I'll try to find it again and post it here for you.
