Try not to get scared if this happens to your dog.... it is common and comes and goes and the dogs are none the worse for it.

But - if you get frightened - your pet will become frightened or more frightened --- and this will cause these episodes to last even longer because they tense up.

And, of course, if you can remain calm (and you must), it will be far less frightening for your pet... and they'll do just fine.

I mentioned that both my dogs got so that they just did it, got over with it, and went on their way. I am sure that eventually they got used to it happening occasionally and it really didn't seem to bother them much at all.
