Just a question ---

Why do people say their pups haven't "lost their baby hair?" Do they expect it to fall out. Don't you have to cut it off -- I did! I couldn't get a comb or brush through my pup's terrible hair - and trimmed if off as soon as possible. He had at least three hair cuts (or more) by the time he was three months old.

And (the good part) - the newer hair growing in behind the baby hair is wonderful. If I didn't comb him for a month - he wouldn't have one tangle or matt.

His baby hair was so bad - it hurt him for me to even try to comb it, and he quickly wouldn't let me near him. I didn't want him to be hurt, have him hate this, and fear it forever, so, I kept him very short and postponed grooming and combing until we had nicer hair to deal with -- which didn't take very long. Now with nicer hair - he doesn't mind being combed at all.
