I have an 11 month old baby who loves everyone and every dog, and my niece has a 2 year old who is just the opposite. Fortunately for me I got to see how she acted with Oliver and I did a lot of the opposite. I don't take George everywhere with me, but everyone in my family has dogs so I do take him to their houses. My brother has a beagle and he can overwhelm George sometimes which scares me, but I will just hold him and let them sniff each other. The first time I was nervous but now him and George play great together. Just take her around other dogs slowly she will come around. Oh and no you are not a terrible Mom she is probably just overwhelmed
