We also love camping, but we take the big dogs and leave the little ones at home because -----
Her long hair caught every twig, burr, sticker, pine needle, etc. in the forest.
She always sleeps with us, but after the first day she was so dirty we really didn't want her to (but of course she did).
Bears have been known to eat them while they were tied up.
Fleas, ticks, etc.
She could not stay up with us while hiking and, of course, we couldn't leave her alone at the campsite.
She couldn't cross the river by herself and we really needed our hands free.
There's a lot of people you know nothing about around you.
I really could go on and on, we took them once and never again; however, we really enjoy taking the Alaskan Malamute with us (she keeps all the raccoons and bears away).
Anyway, this was my experience ...... |
