I noticed many of you are feeding Royal Canine. I do/did too. I think they are great, especially if your yorkie has dental problems, except that it has a filler ingredient which is corn meal in them. So I did some research on the best foods and their ingredients and health benefits.
Here are some of the best brands (order does not matter, by the way):
Innova, Royal Canin, Natural Balance, Wellness, Nutro.
Among them, I found Natural Balance (blue tab) to be the most affordable AND has very good ingredients like chicken, brown ride, duck, lamb, carrots, etc. 3 pound Royal Canine costs $14 at Petco vs. 5 pound bag Natural Balance Blue tab costs $9, or something like that. So I do and did feed Royal Canine for Yorkies now, but I am going to mix and then try switching to Natural Balance.
