I myself do not have one, but do have a Japanese Chin / Poodle mix. It is hard to tell what purebred puppies are going to look like. Sure there are pictures representing the breed, but within every breed there are pups who mature into dogs that are quite different than the "norm". You have to remember, every dog is different. That being said, if it is this difficult to figure out what a purebred pup is going to look like, it is next to impossible to figure out what a mixed pup is going to look like when grown. You should have your friend google some of the dog mixes and look at just how different they can turn out even though they are from the same mix of breeds. Not sure that this is going to help, but would like your friend to know that it isn't as cut and dry as seeing a picture or two. Also remind your friend that they will want to research the temperaments and health problems associated with the two breeds.
