When I first got Bella, Louie was just about a yr. old, and we had had him since 18 wks. Louie is probobly 5.5 to 6lbs. Bella was 1.8lbs I think when we got her at 16 weeks. We took Louie with us when we bought her and when we got home I put her in the pen and let Louie stand outside of it and just sort of get used to her. We gave him lots of attention and love, and then a little at a time we would put Louie in the pen with her (under constant supervision of course). It was a little scary at first because he seemed SO much bigger than her, and she was a little spit fire (still is) lol. But when things looked a little too rough we would take Louie out for a little bit and just tell him easy....easy and it really only took about a week before I was completely comfortable with them playing together ALL of the time. Maybe you could try something like that. But I figured that this was LOUIE'S territory FIRST so I did not want him to feel that this little girl was coming in and taking over and getting all of our love. Its the same thing as when I had a 3 yr. old and brought home the new baby. You kinda have to overcompensate the love so that they KNOW they are still loved and NOONE is going to take their place. I hope that this helped. Good Luck to you.
