As ya'll know I was having problems with finding a diaper that fit Gracie and that she was comfortable in. I decided to attempt to make one. (I CAN NOT sew to save my life!!!)
I took a baby flannel receiving blanket and used the diaper that I already purchased as a template, I traced the outline on the blanket and cut it out. I then put it on Gracie and marked out with a marker where it needed to be adjusted to fit ( around the legs and undersides). I kept cutting, checking, and recutting until I got the perfect fit!!! I then cut a piece of the blanket and folded it over and sewed it into the crotch area for extra protection. All I need to do now is go get some velcro so that I can sew it on to velcro it closed!!! I was also able to extend the closure area to leave room "to grow"! I am so excited!!!!! I can't wait to finish it!!!!
As soon as I am done I will post pictures I just could not wait to share the news!!!!
