The same thing happened to me... I asked the vet to check her teeth when she was being spayed... About 3-4 weeks later, she had two sets of canines! I think that maybe the adult teeth hadn't begun to come in yet and because he couldn't see two teeth, he didn't want to pull them. Wouldn't want to risk pulling an adult tooth and not a baby! Fortunately, they came out on their own after a couple weeks.

Cheske's Bella.... Adult teeth usually start coming in around 6 months. Just check her teeth occassionally (and more frequently when she gets closer to 6 months) to be sure there isn't an extra tooth or two in there. Now is a good time to get her used to having her teeth brushed too!
