"Isn't it true, that a lesser quality dog could win if it had a better, more experienced handler than the better quality dog?? If the handler is inexperienced, the dog doesn't stand a chance of winning. So if you can afford the best handlers, then you're going to win the shows."
It is true that a more experienced handler typically can hide faults on a lesser dog and promote the good traits the dog does posess and therefore present a better picture for the judge. A novice handler simply doesn't have the experience to do this, but once in awhile you find a green handler that just has that natural ability. So you stand a chance, but you're right...it's not very good. |
