That's what they make waterproof covers for. I learned the hard way, and it's not just the pups - it's the grandbabies too! I just don't take the chance with my beds and couches anymore. I got really nice covers for them that are waterproof. Now - puppies are welcome, grandbabies with full diapers don't make me panic, and If the coke, Kool-aid or margarita spills - oh well. No more screaming "I have to SLEEP there you know!" Best money I've ever spent.
