Take the collar off and see if she even goes near the stitches. (the collar has to be the worst thing ... other than some pain she might have). My Penny was recently spayed ( she wasn't given a collar) and the first day she just hid under a towel... didn't eat... she did get up to pee... By the next day, you wouldn't even know she had any surgery... she was her usual self.
