My MIL does that. Years ago I would think it was something urgent, but when she finally gives up and leaves a message, its always the same "Hi, its mom. Give me a call when you get a chance"...
We've gone all cellular and did away with our land lines. Thankfully she doesn't have my cell number! I don't even deal with the home line anymore. Just as well, since hubby is always misplacing it...
