Thanks everyone for your input. I'll be patient and hopefully Napoleon will grow out of this frequent pooping stage. My biggest fear was there was something physically wrong with him. But it appears my yorkie is not alone in what he's doing. Yes, I do realize that babies do this kind of stuff often, but whenever I read about other puppies and how they only poop once or twice a day and it made me concerned about mine as he is very different! Another thing about Napoleon that is frustrating is that he gets very easily distracted outside by a million things -- cars, dogs, cats, grass, poop from other dog, ants, dirt -- to the point that he's too busy investigating the object of distraction that he forgets to poop!! Which is sometimes why I bring him in after a hour of him not pooping and when he gets in his grate, he gets so bored he remembers it's time to poop and does it right there! Grr! LOL. Ah well, hopefully he will grow out of this! |
