I too had a similar problem when my girl was smaller.I had to use the toilet with the door open.etc. She is now much more confident after puppy classes,socialisation and being walked in different places.I think it's an age and stage thing! She still prefers me,but will settle with other family members.She sleeps with me too--at the crook of my neck! She settles in her puppy pen while I go to work and doesn't cry any more.
