I brought my pup home when he was 8 weeks old and he has slept with me from the first night on. I can honestly say that he has never cried once - he just snuggled up and slept like a little trooper for 5 or 6 hours from the first night on. Now at 7 months, he easily sleeps 7 or 8 hours or more.

I didn't have to worry about his small size -- his favorite place to sleep was across the top of my head or across my neck....and needless to say, he grew fast.

Now that he is a little older - he seems to like to sleep at the foot of the bed.

But - I know that some people don't want to sleep with their dogs (or their husbands don't!) Just because it's interesting - a poll here on YT revealed that 90% of the people who answered the poll do sleep with their Yorkies. Interesting - right!

***** I think these little pups just don't like being left alone. It really isn't natural. Normally, they would be with their mother and litter mates much longer than we let them be.
