serelind- I have 4 older yorkies (well my girl is 5 and so are her two brothers), I have their niece and daughter (of one of the boys) and she is 3. I had problems training them because I do not agree in caging my dogs. Now I have 2 puppies from my three year old and I am going nuts!!! I work all day and my mom stays home and they do poop all day. I am lucky that they sleep in a little bed next to mine since they were 3 months old and I scold them to stay in it and they (sort of) sleep all night. Sometimes they poop during the night but I take them out around 9:00 p.m. and they poop outside then I put them in their bed. Most of the time now they sleep all night and I take them out at 6:00 a.m. and again they poop and pee. Meanwhile I go get dressed to go to work and about 30 minutes later I come back and they have pooped in the kitchen where I keep them with a baby door. Sometimes they are Ok and my mom gets up and finds poop anyway around 8:00 a.m. I only feed them dry food and the same as the adults, Beneful which is great because it has beef and chicken and vegetables. Eventually they will poop only after they eat but it takes time to train. I am having trouble even though they go when I take them out and sometimes during the day they go out and sometimes not.
