My boyfriend's Parents just got a 7 week old St. Bernard. So adorable! He has had about 3 accidents so far since Friday, but here's his schedule - He whines in the morning he goes out to pee which is around 3 or so in the morning, then goes to sleep, wakes up again with the rest of us, then goes pee or poo again. then He plays with someone who ever is around then takes a quick nap then when he wakes up he goes outside to pee or poo whatever he needs - plays, naps, poo or pee, etc for about half the day. (this is on fridays to sundays) during the week he's in a crate from 7-12 then gets let out at lunch to do his business, then goes back into the crate until about 5:30. Then he goes out again. etc etc. whenever he whines or looks around for somewhere to go we take him outside! being always consistant! so he kind of taught us when he has to go, he just whines at the door or when he's looking around and we take him outside.
The most important thing is to be consistant and paitent always! it really works.
