What idiots! Your poor babies must have been scared to death, too. What makes home repair people think they can just do whatever they want? I've had crazy stories too. We had to have a side porch removed. Like you, asked when they would be coming. Well, they just showed up one day and started jack hammering and on that wall I had two shelves of Prescious Moments, all of them fell and most of them broke. And the worst part was, the guy wouldn't even pay for the damage because I couldn't prove it was from his jack hammering! Did he think I just saved up broken pieces until I could find someone to blame them on? That whold job was nightmare from day one.
