Default Heavy Breathing

Good morning all!
It has been sometime since I've posted on the forum, but I think it is warranted today. A little background, we got Oreo a brother from a rescue maybe 9 years ago, he was a silky terror (Draper) way past his prime but he was a good little guy. Draper and Oreo got along well for the time they had together, but unfortunately Draper passed away last year. Oreo did not do well in the beginning, we had to keep him close, interact with him more to make up for his lost buddy. Anyway to make a long story short, Oreo's breathing seems to be heavier now when he is laying down resting or sleeping. He turns 12 this year so he is no spring chicken anymore, but it just seems like he is moving slower now. He still has his appetite, he still has his stocking skills and follows me where every I go. We give him allergy pills and that seems to help sometimes, but for the most part he seems to have breathing issues.

Thanks in advance for reading my long story. Any advice would be nice.
