A dog will never starve themselves.

Human food is not a balanced food for dogs., kibble has all the nutrients and vitammins dogs need.

You need to put him on a food schedule once in the morning and one in the evening. (I feed my dog at 6AM and 4PM).

you must be diligent with his food schedule in order to transition him from human food to kibble.

Put his kibble out in the AM, he will most likely turn his nose up and not eat. Leave it down for 30 minutes, if he does not eat it pick it up. Do not offer him any human food, no tidbits. At the scheduled evening meal put a fresh bowl of kibble down, again leave it down for 30 minutes, if he doesn't eat it, pick it up.

I know it will be hard on YOU to see him with no food for a day but like I wrote "a dog will not starve himself".

You cannot offer him human food. The next morning follow the same procedure. When he sees he will not get human food he will eat the kibble.

Yorkies are very smart and have us wrapped around their lil paw. He will play you because he knows you will give in and give im human food. YOU have to be strong and consistentand not give him human food, he WILL eat the kibble when he sees he'll get no human food.

We all want to spoil our furbabies, feeding them human food is not the way. They do not get the proper nutrients and vitammins dogs need.

For treats you can give him bits of raw carrots, apples, frozen green beans, these are given ONLY for treats. 8PM is when I give my dog his treat and he knows when its 8 PM lol. Another reason why a food schedule is very important. Just select your own schedule and stick to the same time, thats very important.

After a week or two please let us know how he's doing.

Remember A DOG WILL NEVER STARVE HIMSELF.
