Winter of 2022 and beginning of 2023 were unusually mild, very little snow, again unusual. What snow that fell melted. I had my driveway plowed once both years. December and January of 2024 started off extremely mild with temps of high 40's and mid 50's. I thought we would low amounts of snow. In 12 days we have had 3 snow falls totaling 23 1/2 inches of snow, and we still have to get through Feb. and March. March is a treacherous month for snow falls. I'm in a tourist town, many ski hotels and lodges, they lost a lot of money due to no snow= no skiers. I'm sure they recouped that loss over these last 12 days and with frigid temps they can blow snow, so I'm glad for the hotels, lodgers and the tourist that love to ski. Not happy about all the snow I have to shovel tho, lol.
