Sometimes we must use our own discernment as well as our own observation when making important decisions about our loved ones health and diet. Science is not the end all be all and because of its ever evolving nature it should also not be held as always being the definitive answer. We live in a world of infinite possibilities. if you throw enough money at something and look at something hard enough, science can prove most anything. |

I am trying to avoid this attempt to bash science, but I MUST respond here about the FDA. I know of NO instance where they approved smoking, saying it was "perfectly safe" .
I am hoping one of you could provide such information/PROOF to me.
Science states facts and the FDA regulates but that is not a blanket approval of anything.
Y'all are really stretching it here in my opinion.
I, too, was a smoker and I don't recall anyone saying it was OK to smoke. We all knew it was unhealthy. Sadly, because of money in that industry, it took time to get some legislation done. That happens, but it has NOTHING to do with bad science.
