For what it’s worth, my Jax has been vision impaired and hearing impaired since birth. He’s only (not quite) four; his conditions are congenital. But he doesn’t have much difficulty, other than a tendency to lose track of his toys if he’s playing energetically and tosses them too far or occasionally barking at sunbeams because he can see the flicker of light & movement and doesn’t know what’s causing it. Keeping him safe is a little trickier than with other dogs, but we manage. �� |
