 My Gracie is gone...
As I was getting us all ready for bed last night, my Gracie slipped away in my arms. She had been battling kidney disease as well as a complete torn ACL, but I thought she had been doing better. This is so devastating. I am beside myself. I lost my husband of 40+ years not long ago, and now this. I saw my Neurologist today and he said the best medicine for this would be to get another dog. I just want her back, but know this is not possible.
If I should decide to get another dog, I would like to look into getting a small senior female, one who may not be so desirable to a young family. I am senior myself and would love to give some happiness and love to an older dog. Small, so I can take her everywhere with me...
My heart is in pieces.
