I am thinking of just buying the scaling tool kits and doing it DIY scrape tarter at home. I actually use scaling tool kit to scrape my own teeth too |
I'm not sure how comfortable I would be with DIY teeth scraping for either breed. As you probably know from the dentist, you have to ensure you go under the gums to truly remove tartar because you will only remove visible tartar and tooth decay etc will still occur.
I think the price is very high. Can you get another quote? I just had Teddy's done and it was much less than that but I am in the UK so may be price differences regionally.
