While braces can be a possibility, they also can be problematic in that they are awkward and can cause sores.
With any issue like that, I always recommend having a boarded surgeon take a look. Some seniors can be candidates for surgical repairs for torn ligaments, some not.
Ramps are awesome IF they will use them. LOL these little terriers can often have minds of their own.
