I’m guessing if the breeder didn’t pay attention to the genes in the dogs she was breeding like an over bite I would be concerned about other genetic issues popping up. Dogs can live a very long time with no teeth and several genetic issues. My youngest boy has a small overbite and if he relaxes or is sleeping his tongue will slip out a bit. My oldest girl has the genes for bad teeth so when she had her first dental at 5 she had a lot of bone loss and had 11 teeth removed but was feeling much happier after they healed so I know they must have been bothering her.
