Thanks everyone for your replies!! They ARE having us sign a new lease stating no pets...
(Unless landlord accepts excuse I guess, or if he is a service dog for blind, etc.)
My mom was a realtor so I need to get her opinion- Hopefully it all works out, We are going to call the landlady today so I'll keep everyone posted!!!
