My dogs dont have crates they have houses LOL. My Annabelle stays in heers for 6-8 hrs depending onthe day. We worked up to this though. She as food water and toys. She actually goes to her bed when she doesn't want people to bother her. You could fit a lab in her crate, and a great dane in or other pets beds. When they are pups they will have to go to the bathroom morefrequently, but as they get older that improves. Their crate is a safe place for them and to them. If your using a crate use a big one.
