Default People that travel with their Yorkies

We just returned from a trip to Minnesota. I took both Teddy
who is 14 months as well as Toby who is 16 weeks with me.
Toby was a traveling champ and he was the one I was worried
about. Ted is usually an excellent travelor but this trip he had
definite issues! First he wouldn't go to the bathroom along the
way. I swear to god there were times I could see his eye balls
floating in his head and we would stop and he would do nothing.
It drove me insane and when we stopped for the night what did
he do but he jumped up in the hotel bed and peed right in the
middle of the bed! Next day it was the same thing...he wouldn't
go and when we arrived at my Mom's he again jumped up in the
bed and did his business again. I was shocked he never does that
at home. He settled in nicely and the next day he resumed his
normal habits of going outdoors. Has anyone else experienced this
kind of issue when traveling? He has been on other trips with us
and never behaved this way before and I don't want to leave him
home but I fear if I can't come up with a solution I may have to.
