Humping is a sign of dominance. Why can't you remove the things he's humping. I read using petroleum jelly such as Vaseline helps ease the penis back into the sheath, of course you have to help getting the penis back in. His penis coming out 3 to 4 times a day can lead to infection.
Have you spoken to your vet about such a shot for this.
I have a male neutered 11 year old, thankfully this has never happened.
