Default Abdominal hernia

So I guess every new pup comes with new health things to learn about. Dixie had a lump in her abdomen I started noticing around November and brought it up at her 1 year boosters appointment in December and my Vet felt it was a lipoma and eventually would need to be removed but no rush. We wanted to get through the holidays and Joey’s dental first. Well it was obviously getting bigger so beginning of March we went in for a pre surgery check up and blood work and my Vet thought it was strange how it moved and changed with how she was positioned. We scheduled her surgery for the next week. Vet got in there to find it was not a lipoma at all but a abdominal wall hernia where fat was pushing out. Vet thinks it could have happened when she was spayed a year ago. Vet fixed it and now we are close to one week post op. She finishes her anti inflammatory tomorrow and is sassy as ever. She is healing well and annoyed she can’t wrestle with her siblings. First picture was around November then the other 2 are a week or 2 before surgery.
