I have used Royal Canin Renal Support T with success in the past but I am not sure they are making it right now. They cut back on some of the formulas.
Personally, with kidney dogs, I have used canned food. It gives them extra water. Also, if they have weight issues, I like canned food over kibble. Much easier to get the weight off of them.
Hope you find something he likes and do hope he responds well to the food. They usually do much better on the renal diets. There are many you can choose from. I like RC but I also have used Purina NF. I have had many pups with renal disease over the years. I recently lost two siblings to renal disease....Oct 2021. They lived for 20 months after diagnosis and they were in Stage 3 at that time ....so catching early hopefully will be so much better.
