Hi, I hardly ever get on these forums anymore, but happened upon your post.

If this is unusual for him not to eat, I'd say a vet visit may be in order, especially as a senior. My Jackson is a food hound and the minute he acts even a little hesitant about food, it is usually his pancreatitis or a belly issue brewing, so I try to catch it early.

What about teeth? Could be a mouth issue as well. Dogs are pretty good at hiding pain.
