I completely understand. Its always important to remember age is not a disease so if her blood work is good and no underlying conditions she should be ok. I have heard of 14 year old dogs getting surgery's with no issues. I would make sure that they are putting an IV in and giving fluids, that they have a heated exam table or other way to keep her warm during surgery and that they have some one who monitors her stats.
