So when the price of a 10# bag went to $55 (yes $5.50/pound for dry dog food is HIGH), I tried Costco's small breed dog food, until I couldn't get it. I am now using Coscto's "puppy" kibble, which looks just like the RC-Yorkie, and they love it (it's $.82/pound). So, for now, until I find something better, I'm happy with it. They are seniors at 12 & 13 years old, and I'm just happy to find a small kibble they love; even Karlee who only has 3 teeth can eat it.
I don’t really mind the price because I trust the company and finding a trustworthy company is very hard. They did before they were having issues come out with a senior yorkie food. It’s also so hard to find a food that checks everyone’s boxes, Ollie will not eat any other brand that I have tried, both boys are picky, neither boy will eat fish, Joey seems to have a sensitive stomach, Penny has a tiny mouth and now with 10 less teeth she will only eat small breed and I haven’t tried anything else with Dixie so I have no idea what she will or won’t eat. So many things are grain free or heavy in peas, potatoes and lentils which have been shown to cause heart issues. It’s just stressful. I don’t even worry this much about my food lol.
