Also, you can see if there's any outlet places, or places that sell refurbished merchandise like that. I know one friend has had good luck getting stuff from a Sears outlet, which sells used or demo equipment. You can also try online classifieds of the city you are moving to. Seattle has a publication called "The Little Nickel" and it's full of classifieds for used stuff. Go to a grocery store in your area, there may be similar free classifieds papers near the entrance.
