Chewing and hard food really doesn’t help with toy breeds as they’re highly prone to periodontal disease only the brushing will help.
Brushing might help but sadly genetics are king. I know Penny has terrible genetics. I got a lot of dental education in my vet assistant classes. There are some chews they claim help but most of them don’t seem taste good to my pups or they give them diarrhea. Penny has a very tiny mouth that is hard to get into anyway.
