We use Heartguard for our girls. I have never had a problem. I do stretch it out a little about every six weeks. Jazzy and Dixie think they are getting a huge treat so it must taste pretty good.
I don't know if you remember but years ago Vivi (RIP) got into the Heartguard and ate a whole box while we were out. I called poison control and the emergency vet and it turned out that they can eat a bunch before it can cause problems. Thank heavens.
