I have no basement for disaster, however I have a big walk-in closet. I cannot tell you how many times I have thrown pillows, blankets and radio in that closet and close the door. I harness up the furry, loop the leash onto the belt of my jeans, put money and ID in a small over the shoulder purse. If I land in Kansas my pup and purse will be with me.

We aren't in an area we get disasters really so our plan is under the stairs in the pantry or in the van. their carseats are always hooked up in the car if that situation happened.
