He hd to eat a very vegetarian dies (Royal Canin Hepatic) he was allowed chicken and could eat regular vegetables. Charlies was pretty severe in that he did have seizures that I treated with phenobarbital when they occurred. He lived a very long life with me and and passed at 16 years old do to other health issues. My only suggestion would be to make sure you have a vet that really knows about shunting, it makes a world of difference. Unless your pup is to sick it shouldn't keep him from being spayed at least when he is better.
Can you tell me the symptoms of a puppy with a liver shunt ? I am getting a yorkie puppy very soon and wouldn’t know what to look out for. I have a very healthy little girl of almost 9yrs.

Thank you in advance 🌺🌸🌺
