Default Birdie has a concussion 10 weeks old

We got Birdie a week and a half ago and she just turned 10 weeks old yesterday....Last night my husband and 12 year old daughter were hitting the wiffle ball and plastic bat and after my daughter swung the bat, Birdie ran up and got hit by the bat...it knocked her out and it was very difficult to get her to respond to us...we immediately took her into the ER vet where they monitored her over night and sent her home today.

All day she has been very sleepy, confused looking and can barely walk and stumbles and shakes like she is cold (she did this often even before the injury). On her discharge papers it shows they gave her fentanyl so I am hoping she just still has that in her system....it's been a round night and a rough day watching her be so "off". She has a follow up appointment in a couple of days, we are just so worried about her.

My daughter is distraught and my heart breaks thinking of how she is feeling...this puppy is her everything....

I guess I am just looking for advice/reassurance that our little Birdie is going through the "normal" process of an injury such as this...or any advice on how to keep her comfortable.
