I agree with teaching your pup to come, it can save his life. If no other training words are taught, the one that must be is to come. Yorkies are known to have "selective" hearing lol. |
Amen-amundo to 'selective' hearing, sooo funny! Piper barks to get attention and reprimanding her is maybe good for 15 seconds, maybe! I learned from another Yorkie member that if I go into a different room and close the door for just maybe 15-30 seconds, Piper gets the message and pretty much calms immediately...I know, riiightt??!!! When outside, Piper is permitted to bark (briefly) at passers-by and such, but I am prepared to go and fetch her is she doesn't hush quickly when told.
Piper also raises hell at the doorbell and or knocks and that's just fine by me, mighty little protector that she is...!! |
