When buying a dog always ask for the akc litter number, require a visit before deposit. Ask for their primary vet information, 1 year health guarantee, and make sure that you get vet check and shot paperwork to ensure they're not doing at home shots. When i bought my yorkie the breeder would not accept a deposit until i visited and saw the puppy in person. Its an expensive investment up front to fly their and back, but it will save a lot of money in the long run. The breeder should always reply to questions same day. When i picked up my yorkie i was given everything to take care of her for months. Huge bag of dog food, tons of treats, toys, and puppy pads.
