I am doing drops for my guy Vetericyn,VF. Fortunately it's thin like water. My pup has standup ears with thick fringes on them. I sit on the sofa where there is good lighting, lay him across may lap on his side. You have make sure all the hair is away from his ear canal, which is not an easy task. I find laying my kid across my lap on his side gives me the best view of the inside of his ear and I can see the drops. Hope this helps you.
