I am not an expert on health, but my rescue Dixie has had a cough for over a year and she was diagnosed with Degenerative Valve Disease with Normal Chamber Dimension. At this time she is only taking hydrocodone for her cough. I don't know if this is any information you can use but thought I would throw it out as another piece of information that could or could not relate.
